Work reverse stocking stitch for 0/2/2/4/4 rows (on RS: purl and on WS: knit).

You continue working the hat in the Pattern (see above), work reverse stockinette stitch on the remaining sts of the row.

Next RS work reverse stocking stitch on first 16/16/18/18/20 sts, work the next 11 sts in the Pattern, (you can use markers to mark the beginning and end of the pattern stitches so it would be easier to follow), work the remaining sts in reverse stockinette stitch.

Continue like this until you have repeated the Pattern (14 rows) 2/2/2/3/3 times.

Then work 0/2/2/2/2 rows in reverse stocking stitch on all sts and start decreasing with RS facing:

Decrease Row 1 and 3: *p1, p2tog*, repeat from *-* all across, purl the remaining stitches if left any

Decrease Rows 2, 4 and 6: knit all sts

Decrease Row 5: *p2tog*, repeat from *-* all across

Cut the yarn, pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten.

Sew the hat together with mattress stitch.

You can decorate the hat with a ribbon bow and the berries with small beads.
